- Facility specific written procedures were not observed. Please create written procedures as it applies to your operations. AHS templates will be sent with this report which can be adopted by the facility.

- No disinfectant was observed for disinfecting non-critical surfaces. Surfaces such as client contact surfaces were being disinfected with rubbing alcohol. Obtain a disinfectant to disinfect non-critical surfaces including workstations. Rubbing alcohol is not a disinfectant.

- No high-level disinfectant was observed to disinfect semi-critical tools. Rubbing alcohol was being used to clean tools. The operator accepted to stop operations and obtain a high-level disinfectant alongside the required test strips. Action items:1. Obtain a high-level disinfectant.2. Obtain high-level disinfectant test strips if poured disinfectant will be reused. Poured disinfectant must be tested each day used and records/log sheet kept.3. Ensure all tools previously cleaned with alcohol are disinfected with a high-level disinfectant before use.
