- Children were observed opening the laundry room door during the inspection while the mechanical dryer was in operation. This presents a significant safety hazard. The operator was instructed to ensure that the laundry room door remains locked at all times, as children may be exposed to risks from operating machinery and cleaning chemicals.Access must be restricted to authorized staff only and strictly prohibited for children to prevent potential injury or exposure to hazards.

- Baby Room: Chlorine sanitizer was measured at 50 ppm. Operator was advised to prepare a fresh sanitizer which was subsequently measured at 100 ppm.

- Baby Room: The diapering pad was found to be ripped, compromising its ability to be properly sanitized. The operator was instructed to replace it with a new one.

- Ceiling tiles were observed to be damaged in baby room, toddler washroom, pre-school room due to water leakage following heavy rainfall. The operator has already contacted maintenance personnel to arrange for repairs.

- Baby Room: Bedding was observed to be stored in a manner where linens were touching each other. The operator was advised to discontinue this practice and to store linens in a way that prevents contact between them. Operator has washed additional linens and was instructed to use these for the babies until the previously used linens have been properly rewashed.

- Baby Room: Storage of clients’ personal items was observed to be inadequate, with items touching each other. The operator was advised to ensure proper separation between personal belongings by spacing hooks further apart or installing dividers to prevent contact between items.

- A recent wind storm had dislodged tree branches located at the back entrance area of the facility. A few branches located directly above the walk-way- deck area required pruning/removal to prevent falling hazardsThe wooden deck located at the back entrance was sinking and sloped and required repair.

- Diapering safety belt was missing from the toddler front washroom. Safety belts recommended in infant room as well, even though higher restraining plank is present.

- Inspector noted that sheets were being left on sleeping mats, and then stored adjacent to other mats without physical separation. Inspector requested additional practices be added to allow for more physical separation of sleeping items.
