      • Roll-on wax was observed in the waxing room. Operator stated that it was for personal use.The roll-on wax was removed during the inspection upon request.-Ensure personal use items are removed from work areas.

      • Discussed handling of barbicide solution. Ensure the container is filled to a level that allows full immersion of tools.Barbicide must be changed daily as per manufacturer's instructions

      • An opened needle package was observed in the Botox treatment room, compromising assurance of sterility.Ensure all injection packs and needles remain sealed and sterile until the point of use. Any opened, damaged, or compromised sterile items must be immediately discarded and replaced with a new sterile package prior to treatment.-The injection needle was discarded during inspection.

      • The sharps container in use in the Botox Room was observed unsecured and could not be properly closed. Further review determined that the container was not adequately sized for the sharps being used.-Obtain and use a sharps container that is appropriately sized for the sharps used at the facility and can be securely closed when not in use and when full

      • 0.9% Bacteriostatic sodium chloride solution (saline with preservative-DIN 00037818) was observed in the Botox treatment room. One bottle contained leftover solution and was past its expiration date. A second bottle had leftover solution.0.9% Bacteriostatic sodium chloride solution (saline with preservative-DIN 00037818) cannot be used for mixing of Cosmetic Botox injections in Canada.Ensure all manufacturer's instructions for all injections are followed.The bottles were discarded during inspection.

      • Multiple cosmetics products were observed to be expired, ensure expiry dates are tracked and expired items are discarded. Cosmetic product must be labelled with the date they were opened for easy tracking.-Products were discarded during inspection.
