      • There were no written records for skin cleansing before waxing or client care in the event of an accidental skin cut or puncture as required.Ensure written records applicable to your facility are developed and available for review by a health inspector upon request.

      • No skin cleanser was available for waxing services at the facility. A skin cleanser must be used for services that may potentially break client's skin. Obtain a skin cleanser for use before waxing services.

      • Used single use gloves were observed on a tools drying rack. Single use items must not be re-used. Ensure single use gloves are discarded immediately after use. The gloves were discarded during inspection.

      • Nail dust was observed on tools and on the stainless steel nail powder tray. Ensure all cleaned tools are stored and protected from contamination, supply trays must be cleaned regularly.

      • Sharps container in use in the facility was observed to be overfilled with sharps extending beyond the fill line. There was no replacement container onsite. Obtain additional sharps containers and replace containers before they become overfilled.

      • An accumulation of scum was observed on the glass and gasket of the front-loading washing machine. Ensure the glass and gasket are thoroughly cleaned and maintained regularly to prevent build up.

      • A white rack at the reprocessing sink used for drying reusable equipment was observed to be rusty. Repair or replace the drying rack to prevent contamination of clean equipment.

      • Used disposable items were observed in various manicure stations. Single use equipment is to be used only once.

      • Used equipment is being stored with single use, and uncleanable equipment. Organize so that there is a separation of used equipment, single use equipment, and uncleanable equipment.

      • High level disinfectant was tested and failed its test. High Level disinfectant log was not completed recently. A new solution was poured, and the disinfectant was tested and passed.

      • Used single-use nail files and buffers were observed in cabinets at some nail stations. The staff removed the items during inspection. Please ensure single use items are discarded immediately after use.
