Best Western Mountainview Inn Lobby Cafe

We stayed on a Sunday night. We booked through the Best Western app, and pre-checked in. Reception was good, friendly and professional. The room was great, and fully equipped with comfortable beds and a very nice bathroom. We didn’t use the pool, but it looked good. Breakfast in the morning was very good with a large seating area with a good food and beverage selection - including baked beans! The area has a lot of tables/chairs, so it was a little hard navigating in/out around other seated guests. *Note this hotel is directly “behind” another affiliated hotel on the main highway, a “Prestige”. We stopped there first in error – evidently a common one! Overall we had a great stay, and highly recommend this hotel

Our three night stay was a successful one. The hotel has plenty of free parking and our room was quite large. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the selection at breakfast was tasty with hot and cold options on offer. There was an indoor pool that looked OK, although not particulary private as next to the main lobby with glazed screens. This hotel is well positioned for an overnight or multi-night stay in Golden: would recommend.

This hotel was great! We live in a room with two queen beds. The room is spacious, and the bed is very comfortable. The breakfast was especially great. It included scrambled eggs, bacon, and roasted potatoes with baked beans. We could also make our own muffins. I stayed one more night.

Thank you to the hotel management for such a wonderful experience. The place is very clean, comfortable, and relaxing. We truly enjoyed the swimming pool and sauna facilities. The housekeeping team was very friendly and made us feel happy and welcomed, and the front desk staff were professional and kind. Everything was well organized, and the atmosphere was perfect for a peaceful stay. I would definitely come back again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort and great service.

I am traveling to Golden for work several times a year and have literally stayed at every place in town this Hotel really improved. They upgraded the rooms and have now a real Finnish Sauna too. The staff is amazing, especially Dharvin, he and his coworkers go above and beyond to ensure every guest has an incredible experience. I will come back again and can highly recommend staying at the Best Western in Golden.

We stayed four (4) nights at the Best Western Mountainview Inn. It was a very comfortable stay. We were warmly greeted by Darwin when we checked in. The room was large, nicely outfitted with a microwave & mini fridge, & spotlessly clean. The pool was a decent size, large enough for laps, & the pool, deck, sauna & washroom were immaculate. The breakfast had a good range of options & the dining area was kept clean & tidy. It is evident that the property is well cared for & scrupulously maintained. I would not hesitate to recommend it to others. We had a very reasonable rate too.

Had a great stay at Best Western Plus in Golden! The staff really went above and beyond — they kindly allowed us a late checkout, which made a big difference to our trip. A special shoutout to Eli at the front desk, who was incredibly kind and helpful when I misplaced my Apple Watch in the room. They took the time to assist us in finding it, which we truly appreciated. Excellent service and a very positive experience overall — would definitely stay here again!

Rooms: 4/5, breakfast staff:0/5 As soon as breakfast service ended at 9:30 am, the staff began removing food from in front of guests who were still waiting in line. Cutlery and crockery was being slammed cleared away loudly, and even the coffee creamers were removed while the gueats were getting coffee. The kitchen staff, particularly one lady, appeared visibly frustrated with guests for no apparent reason. What was most disappointing was seeing perfectly good hot food taken away while guests were still standing with empty plates looking for something to eat - at 9:31. This occurred on the morning of June 18, 2026. We did not feel welcome, and the kitchen staff came across as cold and unfriendly. Although the rooms were clean and otherwise satisfactory, the breakfast experience significantly affected our overall impression of the property. In fact, even before 9:30 a.m., staff had stopped replenishing plates, utensils, and serving items, and seemed annoyed when guests politely asked for a plate or spoon. Unfortunately, this experience overshadowed what could have been an otherwise pleasant stay.
