    • 04. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Non-Critical)?
      • Small pom poms were noted in the toddler room within reach of children, posing a potential choking hazard.**This was removed and discarded by staff. Ensure no small toys or materials are being used as it can be a choking hazard.**
    • 10. Is a properly supplied first aid kit provided and readily available?
      • Some of the first aid kits may not be fully stocked. **Please ensure the contents match those listed for the Number 2 First Aid Kit."
    • 24. Are sleeping supplies and areas sufficient to ensure client safety and comfort (Non-Critical)?
      • Some of the bedding were stored touching one another. **Store bedding in washable bags when not in use.**
    • 25. Are there adequate storage areas sufficient for the operation of the facility?
      • Floor cushions and toys/bins were stored in a crib and on top of napping cots in the infant room.**Remove any cushions/pillows that are normally on the floor from the cribs. Remove toys/bins off the cots.**

      • The hand sink faucet is positioned far and is not conducive to proper handwashing as discussed on site. Please reposition the hand sink to ensure that it is conducive to proper handwashing.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • Ensure that the baseboard heater is not accessible to the children to ensure that they do not get injured as discussed.Ensure that all taller shelves are anchored as discussed.Ensure that the ventilation grate accessible to the children is rectified such that it is not sharp and children's fingers cannot fit in the vent without compromising the air flow, please consult with safety codes to ensure compliance.

      • The hot water tank was leaking in the furnace room; repair the tank.
    • 27. Are proper measures being taken to ensure that vermin do not enter or exist in the facility (Non-Critical)?
      • Ensure that the gaps on the exterior of the doors are fully sealed such that the spray foam is not visible.Ensure that ALL the gaps shown on the exterior are sealed as discussed.
