      • One of the wheels on the crib in the infant room was observed to be missing and the crib was sitting on an angle. Please ensure the crib is repaired to have all wheels properly installed.

    • 03. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Critical)?
      • Several chemicals such as Draino and Lysol toilet boil cleaner were observed in the unlocked cabinet beneath the handwashing sink in the OSC room. Ensure chemicals are stored in a location that is inaccessible to children. The operator relocated the indicated chemicals during the inspection.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • 1. The wooden lid on the sand table in the kinder room was observed with cracks and is not smooth and easy to clean. 2. A screw was observed protruding from a shelf in the toddler room. The screw had been covered with duct tape; however, the tape was wearing thin, increasing the risk of a sharp hazard. 1. Ensure the indicated lid is refinished to be smooth, resistant to moisture and easy to clean. 2. Ensure the screw is either removed or properly re-installed into the wooden shelf to eliminate the potential injury risk.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • In the OSC and kinder rooms, two ceiling lights were missing covers, and one ceiling light cover was observed hanging down. Ensure the missing covers are replaced and the loose cover is properly re‑installed to prevent potential injury to children.
    • 20. Are indoor play areas and equipment sufficient and being properly maintained to ensure client safety (Non-Critical)?
      • The operator informed that they clean toys in the sand table on a monthly basis. The operator was informed that toys in the sand table are to be washed and sanitized on a daily basis. The operator updated the cleaning schedule for toys in the sand tables during the inspection.
    • 21. Is the plumbing system adequate and being properly maintained (Critical)?
      • Water temperatures at various handwashing sinks that children have access to in the OSC room and washroom for the pre-kinder room were measured between 55.5 to 57 degrees Celsius. The recommended maximum hot water temperature is 49 degrees Celsius. The operator adjusted the water temperatures at the indicated handwashing sinks to be below 49 degrees Celsius during the inspection.
