      • A new closed bag of flour was observed in the daycare room and was being used as a sensory activity for children to practice drawing numbers and pre-writing skills. Raw flour is not a ready-to-eat product and has been associated with contamination by harmful bacteria such as E. coli. Use of raw flour in sensory activities may increase the risk of exposure through hand-to-mouth contact, inhalation of dust, or accidental ingestion by children.The operator advised that the flour was being used solely as a sensory medium and not for food preparation or playdough activities. Remove flour and use an alternative sensory material that do not pose a potential food safety risk.

      • In the OSC room there were bingo daubers marked with "keep out of reach of children".Use non-toxic bingo daubers intended for children's use.

      • 1. A diapering procedure is not posted in the washroom where diapering occurs.Ensure a diapering procedure is posted where staff can see it during diapering activities.2. Hydrogen peroxide test papers in the OSC room were unopened and expired.Ensure current test strips are available to verify sanitizer concentration. Sanitizer concentration must be verified each time a solution is prepared, and at least daily if solution is used over multiple days. It is best practice to record the concentration.

      • In the big cabinet in the OSC room, a bump/swelling of the shelf material was observed. It was observed under cleaning solutions. Replace or repair the shelf. Ensure that surfaces are smooth, durable, and easy to clean. To reduce accidental cleaning solution spillage, consider using a tray or other containment for the solutions.

      • In the OSC room, a green spray bottle was unlabeled. Contents are unknown.Ensure all bottle are labeled to indicate contents.
