      • Barbicide canisters were soiled and/or half empty. Ensure barbicide solution is made fresh daily according to label instructions. Combs/brushes/scissors must be washed with soap/water and dried prior to being disinfected for 10 minutes in barbicide. Rinse tools after immersion in barbicide prior to use on client. Purchase a larger inexpensive container to allow for full immersion of large brushes/combs in barbicide.The blue-colored "One-Step disinfectant" is missing a DIN on the label and cannot be used. Remove this product from the facility.

      • Written procedures were completed during the inspection.Reprocessing sink will not be used for hand hygiene therefore written procedures for sink decontamination is not required.

      • Obtain a high-level disinfectant for disinfection of the comedone tool used for blackhead extractions. Alternatively, remove the comedone tool from the facility and discontinue use.Obtain proper indicator test strips for the high-level disinfectant and keep high level disinfectant logs.A small high level disinfectant tray (inexpensive, plastic/glass, with a lid) is required. Ensure it is large enough to fully soak the comedone tool.
