    • 04. Does the operator use approved methods for cleaning and sanitizing equipment, utensils, and surfaces?
      • Chlorine solution in spray bottle was at 50ppm. The label for the spray bottle was incorrect. Properly label the bottles of chemicals.
    • 10. Are food temperatures during storage and processing being controlled to maximize food safety?
      • Pizza prep cooler was at 6C. The temperature of the Donair sauce was at 5.9C. Operator was informed to monitor temperature and to take corrective actions should the unit not return to 4C soon.Probe thermometer was present.
    • 12. Are there adequate and properly operating dish washing facilities to effectively clean and sanitize equipment and utensils (unless noted elsewhere)(Non-Critical)?
      • Expired QUAT test strips (November 15, 2025) were presented during the inspection. The roll was still in its original packaging, wrapped in tin foil. QUAT was not used as a sanitizer during the inspection. Obtain proper test strips for the chemical used and develop a habit of using the test strips on a regular basis to verify concentrations.
    • 19. Does the facility have a valid permit and does the facility operate in compliance with the conditions of that permit, or is the facility awaiting approval prior to operation?
      • The Alberta Health Services Food Handling Permit was not posted in an area visible to the public. A receipt was observed in the office. Post permit in an area visible to the public.

    • 09. Are chemicals stored and handled in a safe manner?
      • An unlabeled spray bottle is observed above the dishwashing sink. Ensure all chemicals are labeled at all times. The operator labeled the spray bottle during the inspection.
    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • A gap in the weatherstripping at the bottom of the receiving door is observed. Ensure that the gap is sealed to help prevent pests from entering the facility.

    • 13. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) accessible to food handlers, located in suitable areas, and stocked with appropriate hand washing supplies?
      • Hand sink at the front was equipped with soap and paper towels. However, the basin drain was draining slowly. Please repair sink drain. Back hand sink had soap and paper towels, however, there was no cold water. Ensure the sink is equipped with hot and cold water at all times.
    • 22. Are utensils and equipment maintained in a condition and a manner that ensures the safe handling of food?
      • Some buildup of dried food was present on high touch areas such as door handles of prep coolers. Please clean. Some dried sauce was found around the Cut Station shelf, please clean.
