      • Single use wooden sticks were observed to be left in the wax bulk supply. All single use items are required to be discarded after use to prevent contamination of the bulk supply. Informed that the sticks were not used on clients. The sticks were immediately discarded.
    • 15. Is reusable equipment handled and stored properly (Critical)?
      • The container holding the cleaned non-critical tools was observed to have debris in the bottom. All storage areas used to hold non-critical cleaned tools are required to be stored in a manner that protects the tools from contamination. Ensure that the container is cleaned and sanitized before use.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • The barbicide used to disinfect the combs was observed to be not adequately covering the combs. Non-critical tools such as combs are required to be submerged in the barbicide to ensure adequate disinfection and prevent contamination. The barbicide was discarded and replaced.
    • 26. Are cosmetic products appropriate for their intended use and being handled properly?
      • The wax pot for waxing services was observed to have no lid covering the bulk supply when not in use. All bulk supply used in a personal services facility are required to be stored in a way that protects from contamination. A lid was added to cover the bulk wax supply.
    • 29. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained to allow for the safe and sanitary provision of personal services (Non-Critical)?
      • The chair used in the hair cutting services was observed to have large cracks and gaps in the seat of the chair. All surfaces in a personal services facilities are required to be smooth, nonabsorbent, and easily cleanable to ensure adequate cleaning and disinfection. Please repair or replace the hair cutting chair.
