      • Back delivery door had significant gap on the sides and also underneath the door. Please repair.
    • 21. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained in a state of good repair to allow for the safe and sanitary handling of food?
      • Some of the lights in the main kitchen were missing the shatterproof covers. Please install covers.Baseboard was missing on the hallway going to back delivery door. Baseboard was loose, coming away behind the handwashing sink in the back area.The surface of some of the ceiling panels were worn out, rough. Please repair.

      • "Reoccurring"Staff washroom opens to food storage and handling area and was kept wide open instead of having a self-closing hinge.- corrected during inspection. Requirement:Keep washroom door closed all the time
    • 22. Are utensils and equipment maintained in a condition and a manner that ensures the safe handling of food?
      • The mini black refrigerator in the front area was measured at 10 C surface temperature. Internal temperature reading also taken with probe thermometer (8.3C). All perishables removed onsite and transferred to another cooler.Please reset/repair the cooler, it must be maintained at 4C or below.

      • Deep cleaning is required thorough the kitchen. -The main prep area (floor had greasy/blackish grime buidlup on the edges of the floor.- ceiling panels/exhaust fans had loose dust coming out.-the shelves and the floor of the wooden cabinet had oil marks/spills-create a cleaning schedule for kitchen and implement it. -thorough cleaning is required.

      • Scoop handles were kept in cookie crumbs and chocolate crumbs in the bulk storage bins.Requirement:Store scoop handles out of food to prevent contamination.
    • 10. Are food temperatures during storage and processing being controlled to maximize food safety?
      • Thermometer was not provided in one prep cooler located in front area.Requirement:Provide thermometer in the cooler.

      • Staff washroom opens to food storage and handling area and was kept wide open instead of having a self-closing hinge.Requirement:Keep washroom door closed all the time

      • 1) Stacks of milk products in crates were on the floor in the walk-in cooler.- Ensure all food products are not touching the floor and at least 6 inches off the ground.2) Ice scoop stored directly in the ice in ice well.- Store ice scoop in separate clean food safe container.

      • Update Nov 13, 2024:Droppings were observed inside cabinets by the drive thru pop machine, and inside cabinet at front service counter under the cash register.- Clean and disinfect the affected areas with droppings.Hole at service door was still present. Located bottom left corner.- Seal the hole and ensure facility is vermin proofed.Pest reports were reviewed with manager onsite and advised them to follow the recommendations on the pest reports and seal up holes in areas of concern.1. Mouse droppings observed in the back storage room, and inside cabinets by the drive-thru pop machine2. Small hole between the floor and the back receiving door

      • Syrup spills under the syrup station in back of house near staff washroom.- Clean up the syrup spill and ensure regular cleaning is conducted.
