      • A couple of expired bottles of HDL5 disinfectant were observed in the upstairs classroom at the time of inspection. The bottles were removed after a discussion with the operator.Please ensure that only valid disinfectant is kept available to ensure proper cleaning and disinfection of semi-critical tools.

      • Expired "Micro-Kleen" disinfectant wipes were observed at the time of inspection. The manager was informed. The facility will be switching to a Lysol-type disinfectant after a discussion with the manager. Please ensure that the valid low-level disinfectant is used for non-critical equipment such as client beds and chairs.

    • 08. Is hand hygiene performed by the personal services worker when required, in a proper manner and are provisions available to perform hand hygiene?
      • A hand sink in the larger washroom on the upper floor was observed to be out of paper towels. The dispenser was refilled and staff were informed.Please ensure that paper towels are available at all hand sinks to help encourage proper and regular hand hygiene.
    • 29. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained to allow for the safe and sanitary provision of personal services (Non-Critical)?
      • Several beds in the "multi-services" room were observed to have pilling with fabric showing at the time of inspection. Please ensure that the beds are replaced to allow for proper cleaning and disinfection. Surfaces should be smooth, non-absorbent and easy-to-clean.
