What these findings mean
Health authorities word their violations differently, so we group them by what they mean for food safety. Higher-risk findings are the ones inspectors treat as critical, because they can directly make someone sick.
Cleaning and sanitizingHigher risk
Anything that touches food, such as cutting boards, dishes and utensils, must be washed, rinsed and sanitized. Inspectors check dishwasher temperatures, sanitizer strength and how wiping cloths are stored. Poor sanitizing lets bacteria survive from one use to the next.
Recorded once on March 27, 2025. For example:
3 Are food contact surfaces, utensils and equipment washed and sanitized in a manner that removes/prevents contamination?
Permits, records and postingLower risk
Operating permits, required signage, written procedures and logs. These findings are administrative: the documentation was missing or out of date at the time of inspection.
Recorded once on March 9, 2022. For example:
3 Are written food handling procedures (Food Safety Plan) current and available on site?
Other findingsLower risk
Findings that do not fit the categories above, such as follow-ups that confirm an earlier violation was corrected, or requirements specific to this type of facility.
Recorded 3 times across 3 separate inspections, most recently on May 7, 2026. For example:
1 Does the facility have proper monitoring supplies?

A group of friends booked a cooking lesson for a birthday and it was SO much fun! The owner is very passionate about the methods, food, and ingredients and it shows in the taste of the dishes. I would definitely recommend this place for a dinner out or cooking class for a girls night or date night.

Small place with a small menu. Had rice balls, gnocchi with meat sauce, and cannoli. Fresh bread was included and served throughout. Scratch kitchen. Absolutely everything I had tasted amazing. Good took some time as it’s a small operation but it is very well worth the wait. Everything tasted fabulous…especially the cannoli. Would gladly come here again next time I’m in town. Server was very friendly and paid careful attention to us even though she was stretched between all the tables.

No doubt the best pasta and pizza ever! I can only compare the food here with food you can get in Italy. My favourite restaurant in the city!

We attended a cooking class for a birthday celebration and Chef Claudia was incredible. She’s very passionate about her ingredients and the food she uses, and all of it tastes incredible. I was able to get a gluten free option to make my own dish and I don’t think I could eat store bought pasta again. Everything was so fresh, delicious, and filling. I learned so much in that class and I can’t wait to go back to dine in.

Unreal. Asked for chicken cutlets (off menu) a few days earlier and they were amazing. Along with the spicy penne which is always fantastic. Such a great place to eat every time. After speaking with the owner it was apparent that no corners are cut here. I didn't know all the ingredients were mostly imported from Italy and almost all organic. The amount of care that went into my meal was as though she was feeding her family and that will keep us coming back. Welcome to little Italy!
