Inspection summary
He Brew's Ahava Coffee has been inspected 5 times by Interior Health Authority since December 16, 2021. The most recent inspection, on January 6, 2026, recorded 1 infraction.
1 of 5 inspections on record found no infractions at all. In the past 12 months there was 1 inspection with 1 infraction recorded. The higher-risk findings here relate to: Food temperature control.
The number of infractions per inspection has stayed roughly the same over time.
What these findings mean
Health authorities word their violations differently, so we group them by what they mean for food safety. Higher-risk findings are the ones inspectors treat as critical, because they can directly make someone sick.
Food temperature controlHigher risk
Bacteria multiply fastest between about 4 °C and 60 °C (40 °F to 140 °F). Inspectors check that cold food stays cold, hot food stays hot, cooked food is cooled quickly, and that staff have accurate thermometers. Temperature problems are one of the most common causes of food poisoning, so these are treated as critical findings.
Recorded 3 times across 3 separate inspections, most recently on January 6, 2026. For example:
2 Are proper temperature controls maintained to ensure safe storage and display of foods?
Food safety training and certificationLower risk
Most jurisdictions require a certified food handler or manager on site, and some require allergen or food-worker training. These findings mean the paperwork or the trained person was missing at the time. They do not by themselves mean food was handled unsafely.
Recorded once on April 26, 2024. For example:
5 Are the FOODSAFE training requirements being met?

Stopped in here on a whim while passing through Kamloops last week and honestly wished I'd found it sooner. The lavender latte was absolutely worth every penny, rich and smooth without being overly sweet. Staff were incredibly welcoming and made me feel like a regular even though I'd just rolled in from Calgary. If you're driving through the interior, do yourself a favour and make this your coffee stop.

The barista was super friendly and I love the comfortable and chill atmosphere. Chai latte and carrot cake were delicious! Found my new downtown Kamloops coffee spot!

The space, inside and outside is lovely, well-decorated and personable. The staff have only been friendly. Both the iced and cold mocha have been great, not overly sweet and not bitter at all. Baked goods look freshly made - tried the cinnamon bun so far and it was delicious.👌🏼 Edit: After trying other items I've noticed prices can be a bit on the expensive side

Great cafe on Victoria Street. Nice food options. We walked passed a couple busier cafes, and found He Brews. Beautiful inside with a little local art. Plants, and a few board games. Nice large patio, set back off the foot path.

Hebrews Café is a cozy little gem! Their mocha and coffee were rich and perfectly brewed, and the croissant was flaky and buttery—just how it should be. The muffin and cheesecake were also delightful, fresh, and full of flavor. The warm and inviting ambiance makes it a great spot to relax and enjoy a good cup of coffee. Definitely a must-visit for coffee and dessert lovers!
