- - The operator was able to explain the correct steps in reprocessing dirty tools. **However, the operator was not following the correct manufacturer's instructions for CS20 use: The operator stated that the cleaned tools are soaked in the CS20 for 10-15 minutes instead of the required 20 minutes contact time. The operator was also using the CS20 solution passed the 14 days reuse period. Education was provided to the operator- The operator was verifying and documenting the CS20 concentrations daily- CS20 test strips were observed- CS20 solutions were not expiredRECOMMENDATION1) You can use things like timers to ensure that all staff are soaking the tools in CS20 for 20 minutes.2) The glass container for the CS20 should be mark with the date when the 14-day reuse period expires so that staff do not use the CS20 passed the 14 day mark.
