Inspection summary
DunnEnzies Pizza Co. has been inspected 9 times by Interior Health Authority since January 14, 2014. The most recent inspection, on June 24, 2025, found no infractions.
2 of 9 inspections on record found no infractions at all. No inspections are on record from the past 12 months. The higher-risk findings here relate to: Cleaning and sanitizing, Handwashing and staff hygiene and Food temperature control.
Recent inspections have recorded fewer infractions than earlier ones, so the record is improving.
What these findings mean
Health authorities word their violations differently, so we group them by what they mean for food safety. Higher-risk findings are the ones inspectors treat as critical, because they can directly make someone sick.
Cleaning and sanitizingHigher risk
Anything that touches food, such as cutting boards, dishes and utensils, must be washed, rinsed and sanitized. Inspectors check dishwasher temperatures, sanitizer strength and how wiping cloths are stored. Poor sanitizing lets bacteria survive from one use to the next.
Recorded 3 times across 3 separate inspections, most recently on March 7, 2024. For example:
3 Are food contact surfaces, utensils and equipment washed and sanitized in a manner that removes/prevents contamination?
Handwashing and staff hygieneHigher risk
Hands are the main way germs like norovirus move from people to food. Inspectors look for stocked, accessible handwashing sinks, staff washing hands when required, hair restraints, and sick employees being kept away from food. Gaps here can spread illness quickly.
Recorded 2 times across 2 separate inspections, most recently on April 29, 2022. For example:
7 Are there handwashing stations available and properly supplied?
Food temperature controlHigher risk
Bacteria multiply fastest between about 4 °C and 60 °C (40 °F to 140 °F). Inspectors check that cold food stays cold, hot food stays hot, cooked food is cooled quickly, and that staff have accurate thermometers. Temperature problems are one of the most common causes of food poisoning, so these are treated as critical findings.
Recorded 2 times across 2 separate inspections, most recently on December 13, 2019. For example:
2 Are proper temperature controls maintained to ensure safe storage and display of foods?
Protecting food from contaminationHigher risk
This covers how food is stored, prepared and displayed: raw meat kept away from ready-to-eat food, food covered and stored off the floor, and nothing dripping or splashing into it. Cross-contamination from raw to cooked food is a direct route for salmonella and E. coli.
Recorded once on December 13, 2019. For example:
5 Are the premises and equipment properly maintained and operated in a sanitary manner (i.e. ongoing maintenance)?
Permits, records and postingLower risk
Operating permits, required signage, written procedures and logs. These findings are administrative: the documentation was missing or out of date at the time of inspection.
Recorded 6 times across 3 separate inspections, most recently on October 3, 2018. For example:
4 Are written sanitation procedures (Sanitation Plan) current and available on site?

Nice pizza place with unique flavours. They often have live music. Place are usually full during the night. Pizzas are ok, nothing special. Prices are fair, you can have slices or full pizza. Not sure if I’ll come back. I think there are better places to have some nice pizza.

We had a fantastic time celebrating my mother's birthday at this restaurant. We visited based on a friend's recommendation, and even though it was a quiet Tuesday night, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and friendliness. After enjoying some great drinks and appetizers, we moved on to the pizzas. The Calzone was, without a doubt, one of the best I have ever had in the city—truly a standout dish. I want to personally thank our server, Gabe, for his exceptional hospitality and for making us feel so welcome. A huge shoutout to the kitchen team as well; despite our order being one of the last of the evening, they absolutely outdid themselves with the quality and presentation. I’m not typically a "pizza person," but this place completely won me over. I’ll definitely be back soon!.

Always an amazing time at DunnEnzies. If you love quality pizza, wonderful people, skateboaring, punk, metal, indie, hip-hop, EDM, it's a pretty chill place. Not a lot of joints give this kind of atmosphere, highly recommend 11/10 ✨🐦⬛

Gluten free pizza crust was one of the worst I have had. Decent toppings but very rubbery crust. Pizza was haphazardly cut with no care. GF pizza is normally smaller and more expensive, but not this drastic. It came to $30 for what was claimed to be 10 inches (felt even smaller). I appreciate the GF option, but please find better crust, there are many other decent ones available.

Been looking for a decent pizza slice in town with options and this place has some decent options however I was disappointed in the crust..a little too soft for me, seemed like it can be cooked a bit longer. I had the vegetable slice and a meat lovers for hubby..they were tasty, good tasting sauce but a better crust would've gotten a 5 star rating. Also was almost $14 for two slices. A bit pricey in my opinion. Although the slices are big and one slice can be cut in half to make two slices. Not much parking as it is downtown street parking only.
