- The washroom sink did not have paper towel available to perform proper hand hygiene. Ensure that paper towel is available or another approved method of drying hands is implemented.

- The sharps containers at the barber stations were overfilled and are required to be replaced. Ensure that new puncture-resistant containers are acquired and that the filled containers are disposed of properly.

- The rear storage space at the facility does not have enough adequate storage space to accommodate all the equipment and supplies stored in it. Ensure that the space is reorganized such that there is enough storage space for the required materials and equipment.

- A barbicide jar did not have enough barbicide to fully immerse non-critical instruments that were stored inside it. Staff cleaned and refilled the barbicide jar with enough barbicide to fully immerse the non-critical reusable equipment stored inside. Ensure that all non-critical reusable equipment is cleaned and disinfected properly.

- The Clippercide disinfectant used to disinfect the mechanical clippers between clients has a disinfectant contact time of 10 minutes. Observed operators maintaining the contact time for less than 10 minutes. Ensure that manufacturer instructions are followed in regard to contact time.Operator indicated that they will have a second clipper available to swap between clients. This will provide enough time for the disinfectant to meet the minimum contact time as specified by the manufacturer.

- Paper towel was unavailable in the staff washroom after handwashing. Ensure that staff have access to a paper towel or another approved method for drying hands.

- Observed multiple used cloths stored on the counters of the barber stations. This is not acceptable as the used linens are contaminated and may be used again on other clients. Ensure that used cloths are stored in a designated location after use. Recommend placing s box or some small container which can be used as temporary storage.

- Observed combs and other equipment were not fully immersed in barbicide solution when stored at an in-use barber station. Ensure that the equipment is fully immersed for at least 10 minutes in between clients.
- 27. Is the facility maintained in a visibly clean state and are environmental surfaces cleaned and disinfected properly?
- There were multiple locations around the front of the store where cut hair has accumulated. These locations included:- countertops- below the chair mats- inside barber station cupboards- crevices along the wall pipes- drain of hair washing stationA greater emphasis is required for the continual cleaning of the facility, especially around the barber stations. Ensure that the facility is maintained in a visibly clean state.

- 1. The storage room was overpacked with items both related and unrelated to the services offered at this facility. There was not enough room for the inspector to easily move around and inspect the far side of the room. Ensure that there is enough storage to adequately store all the items related to the services offered.2. There was no liner or garbage bag in the waste basket in the staff washroom. Ensure that all waste receptacles have a garbage bad or suitable liner.
