    • R2.1 - Are written policies and procedures in place to guide employees in all matters relating to the care and supervision of persons in care?
      • Observation(s): February 17, 2026 The Licensee does not have a system in place to ensure that medication given on an as needed basis (PRN) is administered as per policies and procedures. It is noted that a PRN medication was administered recently however, there is no documentation to indicate the reason for the administration. PRN medications must be administered in compliance with policies and procedures to ensure the health and safety of persons in care. The Licensee will submit a corrective action plan by March 6, 2026, indicating what systems will be put in place to ensure PRNs are administered and documented in compliance with policies and procedures.

    • R10.3 - Do care plans include the required elements and are they developed with the participation of the person in care, parent or representative?
      • Observation(s): February 17, 2026 The Licensee does not have a system in place to ensure that Behaviour Care Plans are followed. It is noted that a PRN medication was administered recently however, there is no documentation to indicate that the Behaviour Care Plan strategies were implemented prior to the administration of medication. Behaviour Care Plans must be implemented to ensure the promotion of health, safety, and dignity of persons in care. The Licensee will submit a corrective action plan by March 6, 2026, indicating what systems will be put in place to ensure Behaviour Care Plans are implemented and documented by employees.

    • R1.1 - Does the Licensee operate in accordance with their license and inform Licensing of any significant changes?
      • Observation(s): March 15, 2019 -It was noted during the inspection that the facility did not have a system in place to ensure that all sections of the Health and Safety Plan that was put into place on April 6, 2018 were being followed. The Plan stated, "Manager will put up a reminder poster or notice at the beginning of the seasons regarding proper clothing, sunglasses, sun block, etc.", and this poster had been removed and could not be located at the time of the inspection. -It was noted during the inspection that the facility did not have a system in place to ensure that all menu substitutions were being documented. -It was noted during the inspection that the facility did not have a system in place to ensure that fridge temperatures were recorded daily, and it was unknown at the time of inspection if all staff had been educated to the process for follow-up if temperatures were noted to be out of the recommended range.

      • Observation(s): March 15, 2019 -It was noted during the inspection that food substitutions were not always being documented.

      • Observation(s): March 15, 2019 -It was noted during inspection that fridge temperatures were not being documented daily as per the facility's fridge monitoring check list.
      • R5.1K - Ensure that food is prepared and served in a manner that, to the extent practicable, is consistent with the personal preferences and cultural background of the persons in care; 63 ( 2 )
