- Lot numbers and expiry date information for pre-sterilized microneedling cartridges used on clients are not stored with their client records. Record the information for each pre-sterilized item used on the client with their client record for traceback purposes.
- 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
- Preempt RTU was being used to disinfect semi-critical facial extractors. Purchase a high level disinfectant (Ex. Preempt CS20 or Preempt HLD5. The solution must be tested with test strips daily and results logged or solution discarded daily as discussed. Alternatively, switch to single use extractors.
- 30. Is the reprocessing area of a personal service facility that uses reusable equipment properly designed, managed and maintained to ensure the safety of clients?
- Reprocessing sink is in the bathroom. The reprocessing sink must be a dedicated sink not in a room containing a toilet or used for other household activities.
