      • ***There are currently no written procedures for the cleansing of skin or for the decontamination of a sink that will be used for both handwashing and equipment reprocessing. Corrective Action: Please ensure these written procedures are completed and email a copy.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • ***Semi-critical equipment (tools which may come into contact with a mucous membrane or non-intact skin such as tweezers) is not being adequately cleaned and disinfected. Equipment classified as semi-critical must be cleaned and disinfected using, at a minimum, a high-level disinfectant. Corrective Action: Please obtain a high-level disinfectant and use it on all semi-critical equipment. If using the same high-level disinfectant solution over more than one day, please ensure the proper test strips are obtained and used, and that the results are recorded in a high-level disinfectant log. Use according to manufacturer's instructions.

      • ***Lash shampoo does not have ingredients or product name listen on it. Corrective Action: Please obtain and record information on the bottle's product identity and manufacturer, as well as a complete list of ingredients and manufacturer’s instructions for safe use.

      • ***Only one hand towel was available in the washroom and was being re-used. Corrective Action: Please ensure single use towels or paper towels are available in the washroom for public use.
    • 31. Are sinks accessible and used appropriately for the personal services provided?
      • ***The same sink is being used for handwashing and equipment reprocessing without proper cleaning and disinfection taking place in between use. Corrective Action: Please ensure proper protocol is followed to clean and disinfect sink between handwashing and reprocessing. Also ensure a written procedure is completed and followed for this process.
