    • 15. Is the facility free of a pest infestation?
      • **IMPROVEMENTS since previous inspection, some flies still noted, continue with pest control.Small flies were noted in the following areas:-In customer area on wall beside garbage/compost/recycling bins.-Around and above back garbage cans.-Around mop sink.-A few in main preparation area.Pest control actions are in place, however, additional cleaning actions required:-Clean out room behind back kitchen with potting soil/build up of food debris along bottom edge of door.-Clean behind dishwasher and on wall behind dishwasher.-Ensure there is no unsealed/exposed wood under the collars in the public garbage/compost areas. Follow additional recommendations from pest control operator (air circulation, cleaning, traps etc).

    • 13. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) accessible to food handlers, located in suitable areas, and stocked with appropriate hand washing supplies?
      • Paper towel initially had run out at main preparation area hand sink. Replaced during inspection.
    • 15. Is the facility free of a pest infestation?

      • Dust was noted on fans / on ceiling in back kitchen area. Clean dust off of fans as often as required. See notes in pest control infraction for additional cleaning requirements.

    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • A number of small drain/fruit flies noted next to hand sink in back area. Improve air circulation, follow recommendations of pest control operator and ensure all surfaces are kept dry/clean.**On inspection in 2025, fly numbers had improved, but a few were still noted around organics/garbage. Some build up of food debris was noted under door beside bins. Thoroughly clean area and recommend assessment by a pest control operator (bins may need to be covered, additional air flow provided in this area). IN PROGRESS with pest control operator.

    • 04. Does the operator use approved methods for cleaning and sanitizing equipment, utensils, and surfaces?
      • Surface sanitizer did not have enough active ingredient to be effective. Adjust dispenser and ensure sanitizer is provided in the meantime.
    • 10. Are food temperatures during storage and processing being controlled to maximize food safety?
      • Product in front service milk fridge was measured at 8 to 9C. Ensure product is cold (below 4C) before being placed in refrigerator and ensure it stays cold during storage.
    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?

      • Hand sink water temperature is too high for comfortable handwashing, cold water turned off. Ensure hand sink is accessible at all times for comfortable handwashing.

      • A number of small drain/fruit flies noted next to hand sink in back area. Improve air circulation, follow recommendations of pest control operator and ensure all surfaces are kept dry/clean.
