10 inspections

  1. Monitoring Inspection

    3 infractions

    • 05. Is the chemical quality of the water in this pool satisfactory (Non-Critical)?
      • Alkalinity measured at 23ppm. Ensure alkalinity is adjusted often enough to remain in acceptable range.
    • 06. Are the filtration, circulation and disinfection systems used to maintain water quality working properly (Critical)?
      • 1. One of two Triton filters not in use to meet minimum filtration area for required flow rate. Additional filtration will be required if water quality can not be maintained.2. Flow rate is not meeting minimum turnover (65gpm, just over 1/2 of required) due to plumbing issues. If water quality can not be maintained, additional recirculation may be required.
    • 12. Are the general safety devices and physical conditions in this pool providing a safe environment (Critical)?
      • Automatic pump shut-off is not currently installed on recirculation pump as per anti-entrapment plan. Discussed and equipment is on-site and will be installed.
  2. Demand Inspection

    1 infraction

    • 06. Are the filtration, circulation and disinfection systems used to maintain water quality working properly (Critical)?
      • One of two Triton filters not in use. Due to leaks main drain has been closed and not achieving adequate turnover or filtration. Only achieving approximately 63gpm of flow rate which is half of what is required (112gpm). Unsatisfactory water samples noted in December.**Please provide our office with a written plan within 7 days on how circulation and disinfection will be corrected for this basin (alternatively, whirlpool could be closed until repairs are completed)**
  3. Demand Inspection

    2 infractions

    • 02. Is the bacteriological quality of the water in this pool satisfactory (Critical)?
      • May 20/25; Sample positive for coliforms. Treat and resample.
    • 06. Are the filtration, circulation and disinfection systems used to maintain water quality working properly (Critical)?
      • One of two Triton filters not in use. Due to leaks main drain has been closed and not achieving adequate turnover or filtration. 4. Monitoring Inspection

    2 infractions

    • 05. Is the chemical quality of the water in this pool satisfactory (Non-Critical)?
      • Alkalinity measured at 12ppm (pH was at low end of the acceptable range during inspection). Ensure alkalinity is maintained at all times so that pH stays stable.
5. Risk Management Inspection

    1 infraction

    • 07. Are the filtration, circulation and disinfection systems used to maintain water quality working properly (Non-Critical)?
      • FLOW RECORDED AS APPROX 75GPM. FLOW MUST BE ADEQUATE TO PROVIDE REQUIRED TURNOVERS (FLOW SHOULD BE 112GPM)- IF UNSATISFACTORY SAMPLES ARE RECEIVED, UPGRADES WILL BE REQUIRED.
  6. Demand Inspection

    4 infractions

    • 02. Is the bacteriological quality of the water in this pool satisfactory (Critical)?
      • Oct.1/24; Sample positive for TC.
    • 02. Is the bacteriological quality of the water in this pool satisfactory (Critical)?
      • Dec.23/24; Pseudomonas isolated. HPC 130cfu/ml.Treat and resample.
    • 03. Is the bacteriological quality of the water in this pool satisfactory (Non-Critical)?
      • Dec.19/24; HPC slightly elevated at 120cfu/ml. Treat and resample.
  7. Demand Inspection

      • Oct.1/24; Sample positive for TC.
    • 03. Is the bacteriological quality of the water in this pool satisfactory (Non-Critical)?

  9. Monitoring Inspection

    3 infractions

    • 04. Is the chemical quality of the water in this pool satisfactory (Critical)?
      • pH was under testing range. Controller setpoint 7.4. Calibrate controller and ensure pH stays between 6.8 and 7.6.
    • 05. Is the chemical quality of the water in this pool satisfactory (Non-Critical)?
      • Alkalinity measured at 47ppm. Maintain alkalinity between 60ppm and 180ppm (recommended range 80-120ppm). As discussed, reducing aeration of the pool water may aid in reducing loss of alkalinity.
