      Very kind and enthusiastic lady chef. Absolutely delicious quality product. She made the point of expressing she uses butter and not shortening. High quality! A bit pricey yet you get what you pay for and this is well worth it! It isn't a costco pie that is for certain. Made by someone who knows what quality is all about. Thank you. The small pie was fantastic! Went back this afternoon and got another batch of savory pies and of course another cherry pie.😉

      I prefer a more traditional pie made with pie dough not filo. The apple pie bottom was so thin and tough I couldn’t cut it with a fork. It tore instead. We tried the chicken pie, also filo. Though generous with the meat, the underside of the filo crust was gummy. The crust is twice the size of the pie. Would have been better to use store bought pie crust. Cost? Overpriced. Day two: This is an honest respectful response to eating more than one of the pies. Yesterday we ate the apple pie and chicken pies and gave our first impressions. Today the Turkey pies. I cooked it differently knowing now how they are made. Tin foil around the edge and tented. At one point cut an X in the centre and pulled back the flexible crust to dry out the glunginess. Looks so nice. But the Filo does not work it’s glungy on the underside even baked a long time with the centre opened up. But…if you are looking for traditional this isn’t it. No potato’s, carrot’s or peas. I’m an elder and have baked here and there like most people. $$$$ Reply: Correction *Puff pastry*👨🏼‍🍳 The pictures are what really matters here. Sorry to offend you but no need for the sarcastic response 🙂

      We tried the chicken pot pie and brisket meat pie for the first time, and both were amazing! They were full of flavour, and the crust was do DIE FOR! It was so light, flaky and yummy. Thank you False Bay Savoury Pies -- you've just made a customer for life. I will be recommending you to all my friends, too!

      If you are hungry and think about swinging by here don’t bother. Lined up for 40 minutes got to the counter where there was a helpful young girl serving , I asked what they had available but because this place is so poorly managed she couldn’t tell me and had to ask the older lady who may of been the owner, that’s when thinks got crazy, this woman a small old Asian woman lost it because I wanted to buy 10 pies , then started ranting at me I couldn’t buy 10 pies ! Ok well how many can I have I asked then she lost it telling me she gets up at 53O to make pies . This was at 11.45am the shop doesn’t open till 11! I decided not to even bother and left and went to illchmans where I got great service and 10 great pies without the shitty attitude and they were half the price . Won’t be going back to visit the pie nazi again !
