    • 08. Is hand hygiene performed by the personal services worker when required, in a proper manner and are provisions available to perform hand hygiene?
      • Hand sanitizer expired in 2020. The hand sanitizer should not be expired as the alcohol content can decrease over time and may render it ineffective. Please obtain a new hand sanitizer and regularly check the expiration date.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • No test strips available for the high-level disinfectant. The operator is reusing the high-level disinfectant for more than a day. Test strips must be used to test the concentration of the high-level disinfectant if planning to reuse the solution up to 14 days as indicated on the manufacturer's instructions. Please obtain appropriate test strips for the high-level disinfectant.
    • 26. Are cosmetic products appropriate for their intended use and being handled properly?
      • There is hair in the brow cream/paste. Cosmetic supplies must be portioned in a manner that protects the bulk supply from contamination. Use a single use disposable or clean tool to portion the cosmetic supply. Do not reuse it to portion as this can contaminate the bulk supply.
    • 28. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained to allow for the safe and sanitary provision of personal services (Critical)?
      • The sink is not permanently plumbed into the facility. Observed a mobile sink with a potable water tank and a grey water tank. The tank was leaking at the time of the inspection. The sink must be properly plumbed in to supply cold and hot running water. A mobile sink is not permitted for services that use semi-critical equipment. The operator scheduled a plumber to install a permanent sink in the back area of the facility.
