      • Hot water maximum temperature at the sink faucets in both bathrooms in the indoor gym are too high (maximum measured at 55.5C). The sink on the right side in Kinder room bathroom had a maximum temperature of 59.6C.Ensure the maximum hot water temperature is set below 49C (43C recommended).
    • 32. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this child care facility (Non-Critical)?
      • Toddler room: no thermometer in the fridge.

      • Kinder room: spray bottle measured 0 ppm chlorine.Toddler room: bathroom/diapering spray bottle measured 50 ppm chlorine.
    • 20. Are indoor play areas and equipment sufficient and being properly maintained to ensure client safety (Non-Critical)?
      • Toddler room: brick blocks were held together with tape (no longer cleanable). Ensure these are discarded/removed from the facility.

      • 2. Rear room (not in operation): Attached washroom - the area near the floor drain was duct taped which is difficult to maintain cleaning. Please repair to be in good condition and easy to clean. NOT COMPLETED, area is not in operation. Please ensure the floor is in good repair prior to being used.

      • INFANT ROOM: Diapering mat was starting to show signs of wear with small holes throughout.Please replace the diapering mat to be in good repair, easy to clean and disinfect.
    • 08. Is this facility properly constructed (Non-Critical)?
      • There is ceiling tile damage in the gross motor room.Ensure that the damage is repaired.Sept 2023: Ceiling tile was indicated to be repaired but had new water damage. Ceiling tile was observed to be wet. Please investigate and repair the water infiltration. Replace ceiling tile once water infiltration is repaired. December 2024: Ceiling tile was water damaged. Water infiltration issue has not been addressed.
    • 09. Are properly operating hand washing sink(s) available in suitable location(s), and properly stocked with handwashing supplies?
      • OSC ROOM: Paper towel was not available at hand sink.Please ensure paper towel is available at hand sinks. *At time of inspection, children were not in room due to school hours.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • 1. Used sponges were noted in several childcare rooms. Please discard used sponges once used. Sponges should only be used for one time OR stored in bleach solution out of reach of children.2. Rear room (not in operation): Attached washroom - the area near the floor drain was duct taped which is difficult to maintain cleaning. Please repair to be in good condition and easy to clean.
    • 20. Are indoor play areas and equipment sufficient and being properly maintained to ensure client safety (Non-Critical)?
      • PRESCHOOL ROOM:Soft foam toys were observed to have teeth marks and be in disrepair.Play kitchen: Oven element was observed to be broken with sharp edges. Please remove all damaged items from the room that cannot be properly cleaned and disinfected.
