      • A used nail file was left at the desk.Immediately discard all non-cleanable equipment after use. Or obtain equipment that is comprised of material that can be cleaned and disinfected.
    • 15. Is reusable equipment handled and stored properly (Critical)?
      • Used equipment was left at the desk next to un-used equipment. Ensure that after each client used equipment is stored separately away from cleaned ready to use equipment. Ensure there is the ability to distinguish new from used.Also ensure that cleaned equipment is protected from contamination of nail dust.

      • Disinfectant has expired in 2023.Operator requested to borrow operators' disinfectant, and obtain their own disinfectant immediatly. All semi-critical equipment is to be cleaned and then disinfected in High Level Disinfectant following manufacturer's instructions. Non-critical equipment is to be cleaned and then disinfected in a low-level disinfectant following manufacturer's instructions.
