- Water was observed on the floor around and behind the second pedicure chair. The operator indicated that she was in the process of cleaning the spill at the time of inspection.

- Used single use items were observed in the reprocessing area. The single use items were being washed and reused. Single use equipment is to be used once and then discarded.The operator was asked to discard the reusable utensils during the inspection.

- Contaminated equipment was being stored with clean equipment in the UV disinfecting machine. Ensure that clean tools are stored in a sanitary manner and protected from contamination.

- The facility was not maintained in a visibly clean state. Manicure stations, including drawers and cabinets, appeared dusty. There was a buildup of grime in the floor corners and on high-touch surfaces such as light switches.

Once equipment is used it is to be stored separately in a place that cannot contaminate clean equipment and surfaces.Clean equipment is to be protected from contamination until used on clients.
