      • ** Water staining was visible on the ceiling throughout the hallway. Areas were dry at the time of the inspection. Please ensure there are no active leaks and replace stained/damaged ceiling tiles.** Jr. Preschool Room - the plastic paneling on the lower wall area was not secured. Repair required.

      • ** Jr. Preschool Room - White shelving in the teacher area was observed to be dirty or worn. Refinishing required so that the surface is smooth and easily cleanable** Jr. Preschool bathroom - areas of the change table require better cleaning. Some dirt/debris was observed when folded down.** Senior preschool bathroom - the stool in the bathroom was visibly dirty. Cleaning required. This could be added to the cleaning checklist.** Senior Preschool - A broken magnet tile was observed and removed at the time of the inspection.** Senior preschool - vinyl on some of the green vinyl chairs was wearing creating a surface that is no longer easily cleanable and in disrepair. Please clean.** OSC - the nylon cover on the egg chairs in the OSC was visibly dirty. Removal required if it cannot be properly cleaned.** One blind in the OSC was not properly installed or falling off. Repair or replacement required.

These areas could also allow pests to enter. Please provide weatherstripping or repair as necessary.** OSC - Blind cords in the OSC 1 and 2 were not out of the reach of children. Please ensure cords are located on their appropriate hooks.

      • - In the OSC room, the sink seal against the backsplash is lifted, cracked and has a gap allowing for water infiltration. Tape is also being used to attach a plastic pad between the two sinks, which does not provide a smooth, impervious, durable and cleanable surface required for cleaning. Please ensure the OSC sink area is repaired to prevent further building deterioration and to facilitate adequate cleaning.

      • - In the Sr. preschool room washroom, a large garbage bin is positioned between the two toilets, increasing the risk of client contact and potential contamination to clients. Please relocate the garbage bin to area that will reduce the risk of client contact while using the washroom.

      • - In the Jr. preschool washroom, garbage is not being removed regularly to prevent the garbage bin from becoming full. Please ensure garbage is removed from the facility regularly to prevent waste contamination.

      • - In the Jr. Preschool room, Walmart bags were being stored above the toilets.Please ensure items are not stored above the toilets in close proximity, to minimize the risk of contamination, during washroom use (e.g., while flushing). The bags were removed during the inspection by staff in the room.

      • - The diapering mat in the toddler room has a tear in the center of the pad. Please replace the diapering mat to ensure a smooth surface to promote adequate cleaning and disinfection.
