      • Observation(s): • chlorine test strips expired in 2024 - please supply new test strips. • Some freezers did not have/could not locate in unit thermometers.
      • F2.1A Sanitizer test strips must be available for each chemical sanitizer used at the premises.
      • F2.1B A thermometer accurate within 1 °C must be available to monitor processes.

    • F2.5 Are the premises and equipment properly maintained and operated in a sanitary manner (i.e. ongoing maintenance)?
      • Observation(s): • Raw wood shelving - requires finishing to be smooth, easy to clean, light coloured and water resistant. Email Health Officer photo once completed.
      • F2.5B The premises must be properly constructed and maintained in good, clean and sanitary condition.

      • Observation(s): • Operator has test strips, however, they do not have the colour chart to show what level of sanitizer is present/required. Please purchase new test strips that come with colour chart.
    • F2.7 Are there handwashing stations available and properly supplied?
      • Observation(s): • Hot water valve has been stripped/broken - so only cold water currently working on the hand sink. Please continue to use the 3 compartment sink for hand washing until the valve is operational. Hot water must be supplied to hand wash sink by date noted in report.
    • F3.4 Are written sanitation procedures (Sanitation Plan) current and available on site?
      • Observation(s): • Health Officer to supply updated template for posting. Once received, print and keep with existing information.
    • F3.5 Are the FOODSAFE training requirements being met?
      • Observation(s): • FOODSAFE or equivalent must be supplied by December 29th, 2023. Health Officer to provide information on courses.

      • Observation(s): • Wiping cloths must be stored in sanitizer solution when not in use.
      • F2.5C Wiping cloths must be maintained and stored in a sanitary manner.

    • F2.6 Are the premises designed and equipped to ensure safe food handling?
      • Observation(s): 1) Trailer has addition added to it for storage. The surfaces in the storage room must be smooth, easy to clean, impervious to moisture and light coloured. Ensure that the rough wood and insulation is covered. Note: A gas stove has been supplied in this room. No commercial exhaust hood - no cooking of food that may cause grease ladden vapours. If not already contacted, please ensure that Technical Safety BC/Safety Authority has reviewed and approved any new connections or modifications to the mobile gas prior to use (do not use if not approved/reviewed by Technical Safety BC) information around their requirements can be found at the following link: https://www.technicalsafetybc.ca/alerts/directive-mobile-outdoor-food-service-unit-gas-approval-requirements If you have information from Technical Safety BC with respect to the gas stove, please provide to me for review.
      • F2.6F Food contact surfaces must be smooth and non-absorbent and easy to clean.
      • F2.6H The premises must be equipped with ventilation equipment that is adequate to prevent the accumulation of smoke, grease, water vapour and objectionable (offensive) odours.
    • F3.2 Is the premises construction and layout unchanged and in accordance with approved plans?
      • Observation(s): As discussed with operator, any new changes require submission of plans/approval ahead of works. Health Officer viewed the addition while onsite and as per above, please ensure that surfaces for the addition are smooth, easy to clean, light coloured and impervious to moisture. Discussed at time of inspection with operator and addition is "ok" subject to above and F2.6 being completed. Further, if the gas stove is to be used, please provide me information from Tech Safety BC showing that it is ok'd safe to use.
      • F3.2A Changes to the premises must only be made with approval of plans and specifications by the health officer.
    • F3.3 Are written food handling procedures (Food Safety Plan) current and available on site?
      • Observation(s): 1) Please update the temperature logs to include the hot holding of the gravy. I will email some logs to use.
    • F3.6 Are the FOODSAFE training requirements being met?
      • Observation(s): 1) Operator's FOODSAFE expired. Please show proof of /completion by date noted above.
      • F3.6A Operator must have valid FOODSAFE certificate or equivalent training.
