- A single use nail file was being kept in a container meant to store cleaned and disinfected reusable equipment.Single use nail files cannot be kept or reused. Discard single use items after use.

- Debris accumulation found in supply (wooden sticks, scissors, tinting brushes, nail clippers, cutitcle pushers) storage containers and drawers.Ensure that the containers are cleaned and disinfected after each use. Do not stored clean and unused equipment in unsanitary storage containers.

- The facility was visibly dirty in almost every area of the facility, including floors, countertops, client chairs, and work surfaces in the hair and esthetic areas.Contributing to this issue is the colouration of the flooring and countertops, which makes it difficult to determine and assess cleanliness. Inspector used a white wet tissue/paper towel to illustrate the build-up.REQUIREMENT: Initiate a clean-up of the entire facility. Use a white wet paper towel/tissue to verify the cleanliness of spots.

- The facial steamer had an accumulation of scale on the element, indicating that tap water is being used in the machine.Descale the lines. Use distilled water to ensure the machine remains in a clean and sanitary condition.

- 1) Operator had instructions for Prempt CS20 on a sterilizer box, instructing staff to disinfect for 15 minutes, which is contrary to the 20-minutes required by the manufacturer's instructions.This concern was corrected during the inspection.2) The operator instructed staff via instructions for Prempt CS20 on a sterilizer box, to reuse the Preempt disinfectant for 15 days. The operator was not testing the solution daily or making a log of the testing.Through discussion, the operator stated that they will use and discard the solution daily since the services they offer which require this disinfectant is very infrequent.
