- Reprocessed equipment are not being protected from contamination. Nail dust was observed in a box holding already reprocessed reusable nail drill bits.**Ensure clean equipment are protected from contamination at all times.

- The Operator indicated that semi-critical tools are occasionally disinfected with alcohol.**Ensure all semi-critical tools are disinfected with at minimum a high-level disinfectant at all times.

- The facility was using eyelash glue and primer which did not have clear labelling (includes manufacturer information and ingredient list).A staff member discarded these products during the inspection.REQUIREMENT: Ensure all cosmetic products have clear manufacturer information and an ingredient list in English and/or French.

- The upholstery on the armrest of one of the client chairs was observed to be in disrepair.**Have the chair surfacing repaired to allow for proper cleaning and disinfection.

- 14. Is single-use or uncleanable equipment being used as intended (Non-Critical)?
- The bulk of supply of single-use items such as pedicure/manicure sponge emery boards were stored in dirty containers.These items were ordered to be discarded and the containers cleaned.REQUIREMENT: Do not store uncleanable items in dirty containers. Routinely check containers for cleanliness and do not add more clean items until dirty containers are reprocessed.
- 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
- 1) There was no high-level disinfectant available to disinfect manicure, pedicure, and eyelash extension tools. Staff members attempted to mislead the Inspector by stating that alcohol solution, noted by it's appearance and smell, was Preempt CS20.REQUIREMENT: Immediately obtain high-level disinfectant.2) The only jug of Pre-empt CS20 which was available onsite was expired since May 2024.REQUIREMENT: Obtain non-expired high-level disinfectant.3) Non-critical tools were being disinfected in alcohol solution in the waxing room.REQUIREMENT: Use a low-level disinfectant at minimum. Solution used must be labelled as a 'Disinfectant' and have a DIN.

- 1) Several chairs were not being properly cleaned with a disinfectant (staff members were using alcohol).2) Staff members were not cleaning their nail stations after each client. A notable amount of nail dust was left on stations which were not is use.REQUIREMENT: Routinely clean and disinfect client contact areas and surfaces.
- 30. Is the reprocessing area of a personal service facility that uses reusable equipment properly designed, managed and maintained to ensure the safety of clients?
- The reprocessing sink has food debris, from what appeared to be bubble tea toppings, found at the bottom of the sink. Food was also located around and nearby the reprocessing sink.REQUIREMENT: Do not use this sink or the area as a food preparation space. Relocate the food items immediately.

- The facility had a large supply of unlabelled spray bottles, which could cause confusion of what solution is being used.REQUIREMENT: Ensure all spray bottles are labeled to ensure all staff members can identify their contents.
