      • The hand piece of the laser that is in contact with the clients is visibly soiled with grime in between the grooves. Reusable equipment must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected prior to use. Clean the hand piece to dislodge debris and grime in the grooves, visually inspect the hand piece prior to disinfection. Ensure the contact time is followed to achieve adequate disinfection.
    • 25. Are the equipment manufacturer's instructions for use of specific equipment available and followed?
      • The complete manufacturer's instructions was not available at the time of the inspection. A quick-start sheet including the post-service care instructions were available. The manufacturer's instructions must be readily available for energy-emitting equipment. Contact the manufacturer and obtain the complete manufacturer's instructions. Maintaining this document will allow safe handling and maintenance of the equipment.
