      • The pedicure basin has a jet system which the operator has not opened and assessed for cleanliness prior to disinfection.REQUIREMENT: Operator must be able to remove the cover and ensure the pedicure basin is able to be fully cleaned and disinfect.April 2, 2025: Repeat ViolationThe operator was unable to open the jet cover. Was unable to determine the condition of the jet during the inspection.

      • The surface of the wall at a hand sink in the massage room was damaged. The wallpaper was peeling off allowing dirt to accumulate in the gap.Repair so the wall is easy to clean.

      • A single use nail file was being kept in a container meant to store cleaned and disinfected reusable equipment.REQUIREMENT: Single use nail files cannot be kept or reused. Discard immediately and ensure this practice is not repeated

      • Debris accumulation found in supply (wooden sticks, scissors, tinting brushes) storage containers and drawers.Ensure that the containers are cleaned and disinfected after each use. Do not stored clean and unused equipment in unsanitary storage containers.

      • There was no sanitary means to dry hands in the public washroom.This was corrected during the inspection with paper towel being added into the dispenser.

      • CS20 was being being sprayed as a surface disinfectant, despite having instructions to 'fully immerse tools for 20 minutes'This was corrected with replacing the solution with Preempt RTU and relabelling the spray bottle.

      • The facial steamer had an accumulation of scale on the element, indicating that tap water is being used in the machine.REQUIREMENT: Descale the lines. Use distilled water to ensure the machine remains in a clean and sanitary condition.
