      • **Updated June 11th, 2026:The cabinet on the backside of the washroom still had raw wood exposedPlease repair to ensure effective cleaning.**Washroom's cabinets were worn at the edges exposing raw wood which may be difficult to clean and sanitize.-Please repair to ensure effective cleaning.

      • Classrooms' first aid kits missing tweezers and blankets.-Please provide the indicated items in all classrooms' kits.

      • 1. Dirty toy containers were observed in several classrooms.-Please clean and sanitize the toy containers to ensure sanitary condition.2. Washroom's cabinets were worn at the edges exposing raw wood which may be difficult to clean and sanitize.-Please repair to ensure effective cleaning.
    • 20. Are indoor play areas and equipment sufficient and being properly maintained to ensure client safety (Non-Critical)?
      • Openable and sensory bottles with multiple layers of adhesive tapes were observed in classroom 2.-Please seal sensory bottles with non-toxic glue.Openable sensory bottles may expose children to potentially hazardous substances, and the use of multiple adhesive tapes makes the bottles difficult to clean and sanitize.

      • Gaps were observed under the facility's back entrance door.-Install appropriate weatherstripping or door sweeps to seal the gaps and prevent pests from entering.
    • 32. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this child care facility (Non-Critical)?
      • The pedal-controlled garbage bin in classroom 1 was not opening properly.-Please repair or replace with one that can be operated without touching the lids.

      • The flooring is becoming severely worn in Classroom's 1, 2, and 3.REQUIREMENT: Facility must look at replacing the flooring this year.** Oct 24 2024: Violation is still outstanding but there are plans to address the flooring during Christmas break** -

    • 06. Are proper protocols being followed in regards to client care?
      • Several concerns regarding diapering were noted in Classroom 3 this inspection:1) One teacher finished diapering and did not wash their hands in between changing gloves - corrected during the inspection.2) One teacher did not wash the child's hands after the diaper change was completed.3) One teacher did not change the gloves used during diaper changing before interacting with the spray bottle for diapering.REQUIREMENT: Handwashing and glove changes are a crucial component to diapering and must be routinely conducted at critical steps of the diapering process.

      • The flooring is becoming severely worn in Classroom's 1, 2, and 3.REQUIREMENT: Facility must look at replacing the flooring this year.
    • 25. Are there adequate storage areas sufficient for the operation of the facility?
      • Bulk paper towel was being stored outside of a dispenser in Classroom 3 and 1. The current storage spots are easily child accessible which could allow the bulk supply to become contaminated.REQUIREMENT: Ensure all items used for handwashing are properly stored to keep the bulk supply in a sanitary condition.
    • 31. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this child care facility (Critical)?
      • The bleach concentration in Classroom's 3, 2, and 1 was maintained at 500 ppm. No rinsing step was being conducted.REQUIREMENT: Maintain the bleach concentration at 100 ppm if no rinse step is to be conducted. Use the test strips in the kitchen to verify the concentration.
    • 32. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this child care facility (Non-Critical)?
      • The bleach spray bottles in Classroom's 3, 2, and 1 were not spraying.REQUIREMENT: Replace the broken spray bottles. Ensure the new bottle are properly labelled.
