Inspection summary

Hungry Panda Curbside Noodles has been inspected 3 times by Interior Health Authority since January 8, 2025. The most recent inspection, on June 9, 2026, recorded 1 infraction.

None of the 3 inspections on record were free of infractions. In the past 12 months there were 2 inspections with 5 infractions recorded. The higher-risk findings here relate to: Protecting food from contamination, Food temperature control and Handwashing and staff hygiene.

What these findings mean

Health authorities word their violations differently, so we group them by what they mean for food safety. Higher-risk findings are the ones inspectors treat as critical, because they can directly make someone sick.

  • Protecting food from contaminationHigher risk

This covers how food is stored, prepared and displayed: raw meat kept away from ready-to-eat food, food covered and stored off the floor, and nothing dripping or splashing into it. Cross-contamination from raw to cooked food is a direct route for salmonella and E. coli.

Recorded 2 times across 2 separate inspections, most recently on June 9, 2026. For example: 5 Are the premises and equipment properly maintained and operated in a sanitary manner (i.e. ongoing maintenance)?

  • Food temperature controlHigher risk

Bacteria multiply fastest between about 4 °C and 60 °C (40 °F to 140 °F). Inspectors check that cold food stays cold, hot food stays hot, cooked food is cooled quickly, and that staff have accurate thermometers. Temperature problems are one of the most common causes of food poisoning, so these are treated as critical findings.

Recorded once on December 15, 2025. For example: 2 Are proper temperature controls maintained to ensure safe storage and display of foods?

  • Handwashing and staff hygieneHigher risk

Hands are the main way germs like norovirus move from people to food. Inspectors look for stocked, accessible handwashing sinks, staff washing hands when required, hair restraints, and sick employees being kept away from food. Gaps here can spread illness quickly.

Recorded once on December 15, 2025. For example: 5 Has the operator taken steps to ensure employees are using adequate hygiene measures to prevent contamination of food?

  • Cleaning and sanitizingHigher risk

Anything that touches food, such as cutting boards, dishes and utensils, must be washed, rinsed and sanitized. Inspectors check dishwasher temperatures, sanitizer strength and how wiping cloths are stored. Poor sanitizing lets bacteria survive from one use to the next.

Recorded once on January 8, 2025. For example: 3 Are food contact surfaces, utensils and equipment washed and sanitized in a manner that removes/prevents contamination?

  • Other findingsLower risk

Findings that do not fit the categories above, such as follow-ups that confirm an earlier violation was corrected, or requirements specific to this type of facility.

Recorded once on December 15, 2025. For example: 1 Does the facility have proper monitoring supplies?

This is first time I ordered food from this location. I tried to find a contact email adress or a webform from their website however I couldnt. Store is closed otherwise I would go there in person. While I was enjoying my meal at home I saw a long black hair that goes all the way under the food. I held it and it was not coming out that it was literally blended with the food. It is sad because I was really enjoying it untill that moment. Could you please ask your staff to wear a hair mask?

Got the Regular Coconut curry chicken rice and it was super delicious, breast meat was very soft and tender, the sauce was flavourful and creamy

While visiting downtown Salmon Arm for the first time, my university friends and I found a great little spot to eat. I tried the Peanut Satay noodle box with beef, and it was super delicious. The portion size was just right, and there was a good amount of meat. The staff were really friendly, and although the place only had seating for about 15 people, it had a nice, cozy atmosphere. My friends enjoyed their meals too, and we all agreed that we'd definitely recommend this place. I forgot the exact price, so I've added a picture of the menu to this review.

Looking for late lunch place on a Tuesday in downtown Salmon Arm that was open was hard, but we gave the Hungry Panda a try. Two meals and an appetizers. The appitizer was delicious, but the main meals were just so so.

The percentage of noodles compared to meat content has increased BIG TIME. Lately 95 % noodles and 5% meat! Paid two extra dollars for extra sauce on our take out meals and it made no difference. Also charges an extra 25 cents for paper bag.
