    • 19(1)(e) A food establishment must be located, designed, constructed and maintained to ensure all of the following: (e) that there is effective protection to prevent the access and sheltering of insects, rodents and other pests.
      • Outstanding issues on the pest control service report must be addressed. Submit next pest control service report, indicated all issues have been addressed, to the Public Health Inspector.

    • 23(1)(a) All equipment and utensils used to process, prepare, store, serve, sell or display food must be designed, constructed, installed and maintained to (a) protect food from contamination;
      • - 5 doors reach in freezer is out of order. They are not using it currently and working on fixing it. - Chemical leaks observed under two rational ovens one in the main kitchen, and one in bistro. These are both being replaced.
    • 29(2)(b) A maintenance, cleaning and sanitation program must include procedures to ensure that all of the following are done: (b) insects, rodents and other pests are controlled;
      • Rodent droppings observed on the floor behind the door in dry storage 2 room, on the floor in the corner of back of house area and on the floor under the shelving rack in the restaurant receiving area by the elevator. All areas were being cleaned at the time of inspection.
    • 34 An operator must ensure that a food establishment is operated so that all food and food ingredients are processed, manufactured, handled, prepared, packaged, served, sold, offered for sale or distribution free of charge, dispensed, displayed and stored in a manner that prevents contamination and adulteration.
      • Observed one dented can of Red Kidney Beans in the dry storage room which was removed from use. Dents in cans can compromise the seal of the can, leading to contamination of the food items in the cans.
