    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • Mice droppings are still observed in the following areas: - Under the ovens in the classroom adjacent to the express cafe room- Behind the laundry machine in the classroom. Observed dirty aprons in the area. - Behind the laundry machine in the kitchen. Observed dirty laundry on the floor in this area.- Behind the food equipment in the express cafe room.- Behind counter height fridge in the main kitchen. PLEASE REMOVE DROPPINGS. CLEAN AND DISINFECT THE SURROUNDING AREA. NOTIFY PEST CONTROL COMPANY OF THE NOTED AREAS OF CONCERNS. CONSIDER WEATHER STRIPPING IN THE BACK RECEIVING DOOR. ASSESS AND BLOCK ALL OTHER POSSSIBLE ENTRIES.

      • Dishwasher is not tested daily before use.DISHWASHER SHALL BE TESTED DAILY TO ENSURE PLATE TEMPERATURE REACHES MIN. 71C.
    • 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
      • 1. A few fruit flies noted in the dishwashing area where there was a pool of water found under the counter. 2. Mice droppings were found beside and behind the under-the-counter-double-door fridge that's no longer in service. Operator indicated that the droppings would have been an accumulation from last week when pest control was there.1. REMOVE POOLING OF WATER AND IDENTIFY SOURCE.2. REMOVE DROPPINGS. CLEAN AND DISINFECT THE SURROUNDING AREA. CONTACT PEST CONTROL TO IMPLEMENT ADDITIONAL MEASURES TO PREVENT ENTRY. PROVIDE PEST CONTROL RECORD FOR PHI TO REVIEW.

      • 1. There is no monitoring record for the Quat surface sanitizer. Test strip was not available at time of visit. 2. There is no monitoring record of the dishwasher being tested daily. 3. Clean mop heads are kept on the floor with the broom and mop head handle. Mice droppings were observed around the area. 4. Area under the dishwashing had food equipment that were left on the floor. This was corrected during inspection. 5. Food spills were noted in the fridge that is out of service.1. PLEASE IMPLEMENT MONITORING RECORDS FOR THE QUAT SANITIZER AND DISHWASHER. 2. PROVIDE A RECEPTACLE TO STORE THE CLEAN MOP HEADS.3. REMOVE SPILLAGE AND CLEAN THE EQUIPMENT.
