   • C6.1 - Are acceptable hygiene practices maintained?
     • Observation(s): The Licensing Officer noted that the diapering area was located inside a bedroom used by children for napping, specifically on one of the beds designated for rest. This setup is not ideal for maintaining hygiene and controlling the spread of communicable diseases. Although a designated handwashing sink was available nearby down the hall adjacent to the bedroom, having the washbasin separate from the diapering area may reduce its effectiveness in preventing germ transmission. During the inspection, the Licensee addressed the issue by placing a bassinet directly outside the washroom designated for diaper changes. The equipment enables diaper changes while standing, appears safe for the children in care, is positioned next to a sink for handwashing, and does not block any emergency exits. Based on the Licensee’s corrective actions, the concern is deemed resolved, and no additional measures are necessary.
