- (1) There was no Written Procedure for Accidental Skin Cuts or Punctures.
- 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
- (1) Some tools were not being disinfected in Barbicide, as per manufacturer's instructions, due to container being too small. Discussed the proper steps for cleaning and disinfecting tools. * Ensure Barbicide solution is made fresh daily according to label instructions. Tools must be washed with soap and water, rinsed and air dried prior to being disinfected for 10 minutes in the Barbicide solution. Rinse tools after immersion in Barbicide prior to use on client.
