    • 03. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Critical)?
      • - There was no safety lock on the chemical storage cupboard in the Toddler 2 or the Pre-school 3 Room. Please add a lock or move chemicals out of reach.- The Chlorine spray bottle in the Pre-school 3 Room was not labelled. Please label.
    • 03. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Critical)?
      • - There were small seashells in the Toddler 2 Room that are a potential choking hazard. They were removed at the time of inspection.-Craft supplies (ex. scissors, paints, glue) were stored on a lower shelf, accessible to children, in the Toddler 2 Room. For Baby and Toddler rooms the craft supplies should be stored out of reach until needed. They were moved at the time of inspection.- There was potting soil with fertilizer being used for sensory in the OSC Room. It was removed at the time of inspection. Please ensure only soil without chemical additives is used for sensory.-There were bingo dabbers in the Pre-school 2 Room that were labelled “keep out of reach of children.” These were removed at the time of inspection.

      • -Storage shelves in the Toddler 2 and OSC Rooms had sharp corners. Please use corner protectors.-Cubbies in the OSC were not secured to the wall. Please secure to prevent tipping.-The drain from the water table in the Pre-school 2 Room creates a potential finger crush hazard. Please cover the end with a cap.
    • 10. Is a properly supplied first aid kit provided and readily available?
      • -First aid supplies in emergency backpacks were limited and had expired wipes and sterile gauze pads. Please update first aid supplies in classrooms.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • - Lint was building up on the wall and ceiling in the laundry room. Please clean and ensure the laundry venting has been cleaned.
    • 24. Are sleeping supplies and areas sufficient to ensure client safety and comfort (Non-Critical)?
      • - Bedding in the Pre-school 1 Room was not being stored separate for each child. Please ensure that bedding is stored separate.

    • 04. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Non-Critical)?
      • -There was a shelf over 4 feet in the OSC Room that was not secured; please secure.
    • 08. Is this facility properly constructed (Non-Critical)?
      • -There was a pink playhouse in the Pre-school Blue Room with chipped and peeling paint. Please repair or replace.
    • 11. Are parent provided foods being properly handled and stored to ensure the safety of clients in this social care facility?
      • -Some of the classroom coolers were missing thermometers; please install. Temperature logs are recommended to ensure the temperature does not exceed 4C
    • 15. Is laundry being properly handled in a suitable manner?
      • -Unclean/used cloths were observed on spray bottles and surfaces throughout the facility. Ensure unclean cloths are placed in a laundry bin immediately after use. It is strongly recommended that each classroom has a designated bin for both clean and dirty cloths.
