      • 1) The mop bucket was placed in the washrooms next to the children’s toilets.Please store the mop and bucket in a different location, away from children.2) The diapering procedure poster was missing in the Samplings room near the diapering station.Please ensure a diapering procedure poster is placed by the change tables.

    • 03. Are clients at this facility being protected from hazards (Critical)?
      • Senior Toddler: Bleach bottle was kept by the hand hand sink and accessible to children. Please ensure bleach spray bottles are inaccessible to the children.Junior Toddler: Pushpins were used. Please remove the push pins as these may fall onto the floor and injure a child. Use tape or sticky tacks instead.
    • 10. Is a properly supplied first aid kit provided and readily available?
      • Single use antibiotic ointments are not available in the first aid kit. Please ensure the first aid kit is adequately supplied with the necessary items.
    • 31. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this child care facility (Critical)?
      • A cloth towel was placed on top of the bleach spray bottle by the diapering table. Cloth towel is used to sanitize diapering mat. Please ensure the following:- Single use towels are used to sanitize diapering mat. Violation corrected onsite.

      • 1) The proposed diapering station was directly beside toys/toy shelf storage.--re-locate the diapering station OR the toy/shelves.

      • 1) Ceiling and wall in the staff area was unfinished drywall/repairs.2) Wall under/beside the handwash sink in the daycare room was unfinished/repaired drywall.-all surfaces must be smooth, durable, non-absorbent and easily washable.
    • 18. Is the facility and equipment being maintained in a suitable manner (Non-Critical)?
      • 1) Some shelves were not secured to the walls.-ensure all tall or wobbly shelves/equipment are secured to the wall.**shelves were screwed into the drywall, but have already come away from the wall. Use a stud in the wall, or proper drywall anchors.
