- 16. Is the facility free of unapproved animals, vermin and/or insects (unless noted elsewhere), and maintained to prevent the entry or harbourage of pests?
- Gap was noted between and below the front entrance door.Repair or replace the weatherstripping/door sweep to prevent the entry of pest.
- 21. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained in a state of good repair to allow for the safe and sanitary handling of food?
- Recurring violations:1) Ceiling tiles in the front service area and back storage room had water damage stains. No leaks were noted at the time of the inspection.Replace the water damaged ceiling tiles.2) There were missing or damaged floor tiles in the following locations: the front entrance door area, the front retail counter area, by the pop station, the mop sink area, the washroom and the back exit door.Repair or replace all the missing/broken floor tiles. 3) Baseboard at the mop sink area was damaged.Repair or replace baseboard.4) There were holes noted in the wall at the back storage room.Cover the holes in the wall.Walls, floors and ceiling must be smooth, non-absorbent to moisture and easily cleanable at all times.Previous violations:1) Ceiling tiles in the back storage area were water damaged.Remove the source of leak and replace the water damaged ceiling tiles.2) Paint had worn off from the wooden shelf above the dishwashing sink. Conceal untreated wood so that it is smooth, non-absorbent to moisture and easy to clean.3) Flooring was damaged in the washroom and by the back door.Repair or replace the floor.
