    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • Dremel bits were being disinfected in alcohol. These must be disinfected in high level disinfectant. Ensure staff are using CS20.
    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • 1. Staff stated they were soaking tools for 5 minutes in CS20. Tools must be soaked for 20 minutes in CS20. 2. CS20 on-site was expired. Obtain new bottle. 3. Test strips for CS20 were expired. Obtain new test strips.
    • 26. Are cosmetic products appropriate for their intended use and being handled properly?
      • Labels had come off some cosmetic products. Please ensure all bottles are labeled correctly.
    • 30. Is the reprocessing area of a personal service facility that uses reusable equipment properly designed, managed and maintained to ensure the safety of clients?
      • Freezer in reprocessing area was filled with meat. Staff stated this was operator's personal supply. Please remove from premises. Fridge should only be used for storing staff lunches.

      • 1. Staff were mixing bleach and Mr. Clean for disinfecting foot baths. Do not mix chemicals. Use disinfectant with DIN such as Mr. Clean for foot baths. 2. Staff were not completing daily testing and testing log for CS20. Ensure solution is tested daily and log of test is kept. 3. Bottle of CS20 had expired. Please obtain new bottle.
