What these findings mean

Health authorities word their violations differently, so we group them by what they mean for food safety. Higher-risk findings are the ones inspectors treat as critical, because they can directly make someone sick.

  • Food temperature controlHigher risk

Bacteria multiply fastest between about 4 °C and 60 °C (40 °F to 140 °F). Inspectors check that cold food stays cold, hot food stays hot, cooked food is cooled quickly, and that staff have accurate thermometers. Temperature problems are one of the most common causes of food poisoning, so these are treated as critical findings.

Recorded once on May 25, 2026. For example: Critical Inadequate Hot Holding Temperature of Potentially Hazardous Food(s)

  • Food safety training and certificationLower risk

Most jurisdictions require a certified food handler or manager on site, and some require allergen or food-worker training. These findings mean the paperwork or the trained person was missing at the time. They do not by themselves mean food was handled unsafely.

Recorded once on May 25, 2026. For example: Poor Hygiene and Activities of Food Handlers

  • Other findingsLower risk

Findings that do not fit the categories above, such as follow-ups that confirm an earlier violation was corrected, or requirements specific to this type of facility.

Recorded 2 times on May 25, 2026. For example: Improper Sanitary Facilities

  2. Routine

    4 infractions

    • Critical Inadequate Hot Holding Temperature of Potentially Hazardous Food(s)
      • "Dal" pea at hot-holding unit measured at 44°C.
      • Corrected during inspection. Directed the operator to reheat if on site. Please ensure potentially hazardous foods are kept at or above 60°C during hot holding.
    • Poor Hygiene and Activities of Food Handlers
      • Observed same glove was used by operator when changing task and no handwashing occurred.
      • Please ensure to wash hands before putting on gloves and every time you switch tasks. Always wash hands and change gloves before food handling.
    • Improper Sanitary Facilities
      • The handwashing sink in the kitchen is not functional, with no soap or paper towel at the station. Operator currently use the preparation sink as designated hand sink before the issue is fixed.
      • Repair the handwashing sink within two weeks. Refill the hand soap and paper towel.
    • Operations and Maintenance/Other
      • No sanitizer was used for surfaces. Spray bottle with soapy water observed. The bleach solution in spray bottle was measured at 100ppm verified by test strips.
      • Corrected during inspection. Directed operator to prepare bleach solution (half teaspoon of bleach with 1 liter of water). Please obtain test strips to verify concentration. Please ensure sanitizer (i.e. 100 ppm chlorine and 200 ppm QUATS) is in place. Please clean and sanitize food contact surfaces using sanitizer regularly or when necessary. Comments Cooler temperatures measured at or below 4°C. Freezer temperature measured at or below -18°C. Rice hot-holder temperature measured at or above 60°C. Operator has FOODSAFE Level 1 certificate. Pest control service was conducted every week. Pest traps were in place and no signs of pest activity were identified. Note: As per last inspection dated April 16, 2025, owner agreed that no food handling is occurring in storage room. As there is no handwashing sink in storage room, food handling should not be conducted in storage room unless another hand sink is installed. Please move the dough table and mixer to the kitchen.
