- Written documents were not available upon request of the PHI, regarding skin preparation, post-service care, and client care.

- The operator did not prepare the Barbicide according to the manufacturer's instructions (dilution and frequency of preparation). The operator was informed to follow the manufacturer's guidelines for proper preparation moving forward.
- 08. Is hand hygiene performed by the personal services worker when required, in a proper manner and are provisions available to perform hand hygiene?
- No paper towels or single-use towels were available in the washroom at the time of inspection. The operator provided clean single-use towels on the counter and placed a basket for used towels.

- Non-critical items, including brushes, combs, and scissors were soaked in Barbicide; however, the disinfectant solution had not been prepared in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.

- During the inspection, it was observed that only one clipperside was in use across five stations in the facility. Two operators interviewed stated that clipperside are only used at the start of the shift. PHI instructed the operators to disinfect clippers, brushes, and combs after each client and to obtain additional supplies to ensure proper disinfection is consistently achieved.

- 26. Are cosmetic products appropriate for their intended use and being handled properly?
- A pot of facial wax was found uncovered and had a considerable amount of hair inside and stuck to the dried wax on the rim. The product was disposed of at the instruction of the PHI. Ensure that a proper cover is used to protect from contamination, and only use waxing sticks once to prevent contamination.
