    • 301 - Critical Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not maintained in sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
      • Observation: (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION) Observed build-up of dirt and debris on walk-in cooler ventilation fans at time of inspection. Dust and dirt debris on walk-in cooler fans can be dispersed within the cold-holding equipment and can contaminate food products.
      • Corrective Action: Operator to thoroughly remove dust and debris from walk-in coolers fans and then clean and sanitize the fans to prevent the dispersion of airborne contaminants onto food products within the cold storage equipment.

      • Observation: (CORRECTED DURING INSPECTION) Observed that build up of dirt and debris on the cup dispenser at the Mcflurry machine,removable drink dispenser at the orange juice machine,the latte/cappuccino machine and the self serve pop machine at the dine in area..
      • Corrective Action: Operator to thoroughly clean and then sanitize the following equipment to prevent the cross-contamination of old food debris, grime and dirt onto single-use food containers. Areas to clean include the cup dispenser at the Mcflurry machine, the removable drink dispenser at the orange juice machine, the latte/cappuccino machine, and where single-use cups are placed for the retrieval of ice at the self-serve coca cola dispenser within the dinning room.
    • 305 - Conditions observed that may allow entrance/harbouring/breeding of pests [s. 26(b),(c)]
      • Observation: At time of routine inspection the rear receiving door improperly weather proofed as a gap was observed.This gap can permit the movement of pests to enter the facility.
      • Corrective Action: Operator to replace and or repair the weather stripping or large receiving door to reduce the overall risk of pests entering the facility where they can harbour and potentially contaminate food products and food contact surfaces.

    • 301 - Critical Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not maintained in sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
      • Observation: Observed potential biofilm, microbial growth and / or unknown black residue build up within the rear ice machine along the internal walls and crevices, and within the upper condenser portion of the machine. Observed build up of dirt and dust debris on ice machine filter screens.
      • Corrective Action: Operator is to discard all ice from the rear ice machine equipment. Operator is prohibited from using the rear ice machine equipment until it has been thoroughly cleaned and sanitized by either the operator and / or a professional equipment cleaning service provider, and then visually inspected and approval granted by a health officer before it is permitted for use within the food premise.

      • Observation: Observed potential biofilm, microbial growth and / or unknown black residue build up within the dining area self-dispensing soda and ice machine. Residues were observed along the internal walls and crevices, and within the upper condenser portion of the machine.
      • Corrective Action: Operator is to discard all ice from the self-dispensing soda and ice machine equipment located in the dining area. Operator is prohibited from using the soda and ice machine equipment until it has been thoroughly cleaned and sanitized by either the operator and / or a professional equipment cleaning service provider, and then visually inspected and approval granted by a health officer before it is permitted for use within the food premise.
    • 301 - Critical Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces not maintained in sanitary condition [s. 17(1)]
      • Observation: Observed build-up of dried dairy liquid food product and unknown black residue on the undersides of the dispensing valves on both the drive-thru and store front liquid dairy dispensing equipment. Inadequate cleaning of the equipment can lead to bacterial growth within and on the equipment surfaces, which can increase the risk of cross-contamination, resulting in potential food-borne illness.
      • Corrective Action: Operator shall disassemble, remove debris, clean and sanitize both the drive-thru and storefront dairy liquid dispensing equipment and ensure all liquid dispensing equipment is dissembled, cleaned daily and maintained in good working repair and sanitary condition.
    • 308 - Equipment/utensils/food contact surfaces are not in good working order [s. 16(b)]
      • Observation: Observed multiple loose and cracked floor tiling under the large commercial deep-fryer. Loose and cracked tiling can cause a build up of grease, grime, dirt and food debris within the flooring surface which can permit the growth of bacteria and provide a source of food for potential pests, leading to potential cross-contamination which can result in potential foodborne illness.
      • Corrective Action: Operator to remove broken and loose floor tiles, remove any food, dirt, grime debris and clean sub-floor area and install new tiling within the deep-fryer area.
