- Nail buffers and files had visible residue on them, indicating they were being reused instead of discarded after single use, (Discarded).Discard nail buffers and files after one-time use, and ensure an adequate supply of single-use tools is maintained on site.

- There was no high-level disinfectant (HLD) available on site for reprocessing semi-critical manicure and pedicure tools. The operator was using barbicide solution for nail tools. Obtain a high-level disinfectant with a Drug Identification Number (DIN)/ Medical Device License (MDL) and ensure all semi-critical tools are cleaned and high-level disinfected according to the manufacturer’s instructions prior to each use.
