      • Used single-use nail buffers and files were observed inside some nail station cabinets. The staff discarded the items during inspection.Please ensure single-use tools are discarded immediately after use and not re-used.

      • 1. An expired high level disinfectant (Preempt CS20) was in use at the facility.2. High level disinfectant test strips were not observed.3. Disinfectant testing log sheet was incomplete.4. Improper disinfecting procedures was being done. Reusable semi-critical tools were not being completely immersed inside the disinfectant. Action items.1. Purchase a new bottle of high-level disinfectant.2. Obtain high-level disinfectant test strips.3. Ensure your disinfectant testing log sheet is up to date. Poured high-level disinfectant must be tested each day used and records kept. 4. Ensure tools are completely immersed into the high-level disinfectant and used according to the manufacturers instructions.
