    • 20. Is reusable equipment disinfected properly?
      • Barbicide low level disinfectant solutions were changed weekly. The manufacturer's instructions for use (MIFU) requires that these solutions be made daily.Please ensure the MIFU for disinfectants is always followed including the requirement for:- preparation of new solutions daily- Pre-cleaning prior to immersion- 10 minute contact time- rinsing and drying post immersion.
    • 24. Are waste sharps disposed of properly?
      • Sharps container by the second barbering station from the front door was filled past the maximum fill line.Please ensure personal service workers close and remove sharps containers that are at or near the maximum fill line, to ensure safe transportation and disposal of waste sharps,
    • 33. Are general nuisance conditions, other than those noted in other violations, being prevented at this personal services facility (Non-Critical)?
      • There were numerous spray bottles of decanted product that were unlabeled.Please ensure all products, including disinfectants, cosmetics, water, baby oil, etc., are in containers that are appropriately labeled with the product identifier, and expiry date (when applicable)

    • 28. Is the facility properly constructed and maintained to allow for the safe and sanitary provision of personal services (Critical)?
      • Several client services (5-6)were underway at the time of inspection, while the manager and all personal service workers (PSW) were aware that there was no water supply at the facility.The facility was providing services since opening time (10AM) until the time of inspection (12:50PM).A potable water supply is a requirement to operate a personal service facility for hand washing, washroom facilities, and equipment reprocessing purposes.The water was restored to the building during the inspection.
